Director of Marketing - New York

Gen II is seeking a Marketing Director to work closely with our senior leadership to create and implement comprehensive policies and programs related to corporate marketing, internal and external communications and social media messaging. This role has broad responsibilities which include contributing to the development of our marketing strategy, creating internally and externally facing content, and supporting the overall sales efforts for the firm.  The Marketing Director will be a part of our Sales and Marketing team and will report to the Principal of Business Development.
Responsibilities Will Include: 
  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the firm’s value proposition and unique characteristics
  • Gather, analyze and report data driven research and recommendations
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, including content generation and placement, to the appropriate channels
  • Develop and execute marketing plans for visibility and lead generation with external media
  • Work with internal business development and client service teams on market facing collateral and RFP/DDQ completion
  • Track developments and market trends in our target markets and geographies, including competitive threats, to assist Gen II in achieving its growth objectives 
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget
  • Monitor progress of marketing campaigns and provide analytics review to senior leadership
  • Provide both short- and long-term recommendations by acquiring and analyzing market data and conducting market research
Job Requirements, Skills, Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications or public relations within technology-enabled service business
  • 2+ years in corporate management role
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Demonstrated experience in creating successful marketing and public relations material
  • Experience with traditional and digital marketing, content marketing and social media marketing
  • In depth knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Solid understanding of the private equity fund administration market and sales process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with business writing 
  • Salesforce proficiency required
  • Ability to initiate and monitor several simultaneous projects and budgets
