Jr. Reporting Analyst - New York


Job Description:
 New York City based Private Equity Fund Administration Firm is looking for a Jr. Reporting Analyst to develop additional process and technology efficiencies to help improve the scalability of a growing business.
 
Primary Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Work with Client Service teams to understand financial statement, capital statement and capital call/distribution requirements
  • Review pre-existing templates and perform assessment of reasonableness for conformance to Gen II standard formats and functionality
  • Document business requirements and work with technology and development teams to ensure understanding of requirements
  • User acceptance testing to ensure requirements are met
  • Manage listing of all client requirements, identifying commonalities and efficiencies as applicable
  • Provide ad-hoc statement reporting requests
Job Requirements, Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Extensive Microsoft suite skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Highly analytical, strategic, intellectually curious and detail-oriented, with a commitment to excellence and a passion for understanding the business implications of financial results
  • 1+ years of Accounting financial statement experience
  • Private Equity experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Ability to think independently, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Reasonable understanding of financial statements, partner capital statements and capital call/distribution notices
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes and procedures in a rapidly changing environment
